For thousands of years across multiple cultures humans have used plant medicines to facilitate psychological healing, consciousness expansion, and spiritual experiences. Over the last decade in the US, a vast amount of research and direct anecdotal experience of these medicines have shown profound healing benefits for PTSD, treatment resistant depression, childhood abuse and trauma, and other psychological ailments. These medicines also provide profound spiritual and psychological benefits for anyone seeking a deeper connection to themselves and the world around us.
As the benefits of these sacred medicines regain the proper attention and respect they deserve in the United States, The Swan Club is excited to be a leader in the legalization process in the state of New York. We host a weekly speaker series on the benefits of psychedelic medicines, share stories of healing and expansion from our member community, and through our non-profit organization advocate for legalization through awareness campaigns and events.
Once legal, our psilocybin services will be available to anyone that is interested in the experience and meets our safety and readiness protocols. We will also have specific programs for 1) people that have experienced childhood sexual abuse and 2) first responders that confront trauma on a regular basis to ensure that we can make these services financially accessible to those that need assistance.
Oregon was the first US state to institute a legal framework for psilocybin services in 2021. Colorado adopted a similar framework in 2002 and New Mexico is poised to implements its legal program in 2026. There are currently 25 states with active legislation for the legalization of psilocybin and/or other entheogens (i.e. psychoactive substances).
Let’s make NY the next state to have legal, safe and accessible psilocbyin services!
